Engineered Wood Floors
Engineered Wood floors are very dimensionally stable allowing them to be installed over all types of subfloor. They are suitable for all areas of the house, except bathrooms and wet areas, and can be used with underfloor heating and in conservatories.
Due to their stability they can be fitted in a minimum of 48 hours after correctly being acclimatized. To correctly acclimatize your engineered floor, it should be left in the room it is going to be fitted in at normal room temperature and relative humidity (RH). Please refer to the manufacturer’s guides contained within the packaging for accurate advice on your chosen product.
In order to ensure lasting satisfaction from your new oil finished floor, it is important to correctly care for the floor from the off, starting immediately after installation. With the right care, your oiled floor will become increasingly easy to clean and hard wearing over time. This is because the recommended products used to clean the floor, actually coats it with an invisible film, providing additional protection and thus making the floor more resistant to dirt. The floor can also be re-oiled as part of a regular maintenance program thus ensuring a lifetime of use and enjoyment.
